We're Left to Wonder Why He Left Them All Behind

I loved the Harajuku Lover advertisments. The bright clolors, the whimsical inspiration, and the piles of flowers, cartoon faces, and cartoon size bows in her hair- whats not to love??

When The Empty Sand Just Falling Through Our Empty Skin

Down here in Texas it's way too hot to wear practically anything but shorts. I had some fun putting a spin on the typical shorts and tee shirt look.
Layers of necklaces make it look like I put a lot of effort into this outfit, when it is really just a simple tee-shirt-and-shorts outfit that took almost no effort at all.

That famous picture of Audry Hepburn, the black and white costume jewelry, classic red lip stick, I feel like Chanel!

A mesh tank feels light and summer-y.

Fashion Show! PartII

Here's some close ups of the denim jacket I made. I went with a military theme for my design.

I've always wanted my name on the inside of some ones clothing!

A popped collar and trimming on the shoulders give the jacket a masculine feel.

I wore tall gray knit socks under grungy boots. I thought it followed the whole military theme and stood out among the typical stilettos that are usually worn with skirts.
Now I understand why in all the pictures of models back stage at runway shows are always wearing the biggest smiles. It was so much fun, I couldn't help smiling!

The jacket had such a masculine feel to it, I decided to pair it with a floral tulle skirt. The contrast between the masculine jacket and the girly skirt really worked.

Fashion Show! Part I

This week I attended a week long fashion class at the Art Institute of Dallas. It was SOOO nice to meet people that loved fashion as much as I do. I dressed in my normal wardrobe picks, but, for me, normal is a skirt and heals. I went the first day thinking I was going to be way over dressed but didn't care because I'm more than used to being overdressed. I was so elated when every one was dressed like me! I couldn't believe it, it was ah-mazing!Every one there, all the girls in my classes, and the instructors too, were all so nice. I didn't want to say goodbye!

Our task for the week was to design and make our own denim jackets. Then Friday morning we got to model them ourselves in a fashion show we put on for our friends and family. Every one styled and accessorized there jackets so uniquely, it was ah-mazing! And getting to model your own designs is the most exciting thing ever!

I took some pictures back stage:

These are just a few of the girls jackets but every one's came out so good. they were all so unique and different. Who knew the classic denim jacket could be styled so many different ways?!
We had to hand stitch every thing on the jacket. By Friday my hands hurt so bad!

Adding last minute touches to my jacket the morning of the show. After loosing many of hours of sleep over this jacket I think it was finally ready!
Awe, so cute!
