Classic Tuesday

Dressing classic pieces, like a black pencil skirt, are fun to play with and last forever. You can wear them over and over again and no one will ever notice because you can dress them differently every time. Today I wore a basic three quarter sleeved tee tucked into a classic black pencil skirt, layers of various lengths of necklaces (my way of playing with it), and stilettos. Actually the stilettos only lasted until I walked out the door and I decided to go with the easier-to-walk-in-wedges. Statment pieces are fun, but you can never go wrong with a classic!

Confidence

My Fashion Tip of the Week for Those Aspiring Fashionistas:
As you walk down the street or the hall way of your school you may often get that little voice in your head saying that your wardrobe choice for that day was WAY too bold and everyone around you is looking at you wandering if you even own a mirror. Well I believe anyone and everyone who is a trendsetter- or has any understanding of self presentation- feels this way at one time of another. I know I think about this often, especially at school where most people are in a tee shirt and jeans and I'm in a vintage skirt, a frilly top, and heals. My advice for you is confidence. If you strut down those hallways like their your personal catwalk everyone around you will start to believe in you too. Once I had gotten a brand new skirt that was defiantly a bold choice and I wore it to school the next day. I walked through the doors with my head held high until I saw everyone in their tee shirts. Since I'm really shy, standing out like this bothered me. No one said anything about my skirt that day. A couple weeks ago i decided to make another attempt at wearing it. Except this time I wore it with confidence. I got too many compliments on it to even count!

Rock IT!

Monday, Springing into Springtime

It's finally warm enough to break out the spring clothes. I went for bright, crisp colors to celebrate the passing of the cold, rainy weather that we've been having lately.

Casual Friday!! I'm in love with the delicate details of this cardi. If the store had had XS in all four colors i would have bought them all! But the pale yellow was my favorite.
