Hmm.. So are you one of those people who stands in the middle of the dressing room, in front of the mirror, pondering whether to by the blouse or not? Well I defiantly am!....
I am one of the worst decision makers the world has ever known, but the best way I can keep myself from loosing hours of sleep, trying to decide if I should go back and get the dress or clutch or whatever I spotted while shopping that day, is to follow these steps while I shop:
1. We all know that some things just look better on the hanger. But you don't know this until you try it on. If you see something you like, and you have the time, try it on.
2. When trying it on look at in the mirror thoroughly, looking for any snags or missing buttons. These are red flags to bad quality a cheapness.
3. If you like what you see, ask yourself "where would I wear this?", and "what would I wear this with?", but don't ask yourself if your best friend would approve of it. As Marco Pierre White once said,“Don't dress for others, dress for yourself.” The only opinion that matters is your own. Chances are your friend won't flat out tell you yellow is not your color or the pants don't fit your butt right, so how can you really trust what they say? And if you're thinking you're not sure if you like the dress and need a second opinion- you don't like it. If you have to debate yourself over wheather you simply like it or not, then its not worth getting.
4. Lastly: cost. Before you even look at the price ask your self how much you would pay for it. If the price is around what you think its worth, then its all yours. If the price is way above what you expected. Put it back. It's not worth it. And if the price is below than even better right?!!
And remember, dresses are not like boys: They are easy to figure out, returnable, refundable, and will always make you smile even when you man can't!
